This hidden lake is accessible only by seaplane, but it is worth the journey. When you arrive, you’ll step into a stunning wildlife paradise with miles and miles of untouched shoreline.
With countless miles of deep blue waters, anglers can expect lots of action. We offer world-class fishing for all five species of wild Pacific Salmon, with big king salmon in late spring and early summer, to the sockeyes of mid-summer, to the silvers of early fall. There is plenty of Rainbow Trout, and let’s not forget some impressive Northern Pike fishing.
Just imagine paddling out onto glassy waters surrounded by the majestic beauty of Alaska, or being safely guided on a bear viewing trip. During winters in Alaska, something magical happens, as open spaces freeze and turn into a winter playland. Cut through untouched powder across a quiet meadow on cross-country skis or a take glittery rollercoaster of a ride on a snow machine. Bentalit Lodge is the perfect way to see the Northern Lights, to watch the historic Iditarod dog sled race, and ground zero for all your snow adventures.
Once you land at the lodge, we will be greeted by fresh air and a blanket of evergreen trees. We will introduce you to the lodge, the staff, and your guide. Then you decide what you want to do: fish or find a quiet place to cozy up by the fire. Bentalit Lodge is comfortably rustic with private rooms and bathrooms, and a range of complimentary activities. Guests can expect fresh fish and sea fare from the nearby waters and all meal are proudly prepared with honest simplicity.
